How Long Do Crappie Live?

Last Updated on March 5, 2022 by Sam

Crappie fish live for about two years and once they reach maturity, females will lay eggs. They stay close to the surface of water in shallow waters where oxygen is plentiful because their ability to breathe air underwater is limited.

The “how long do white crappie live” is a question that has been asked for years. The answer to this question is dependent on the species of fish and the water in which they are living.

Crappie live for about 3-4 years. They can grow up to 3 feet in length and weigh up to 2 pounds. Reference: how long does a bluegill live.
